Ex-WWE star Wesley Blake wishes late wife Sara Lee a ‘happy heavenly birthday’
The husband of Sara Lee has wished the late wrestler a ‘happy heavenly birthday’ after her death last year.
Alongside a photo of them hugging on the beach, the star – who has young children Piper and Brady with Sara – tweeted: ‘Happy Heavenly Birthday, Sara ????
‘Today, we will celebrate the life you lived by doing the things that you loved to do. I will make the kids cinnamon rolls, followed by a workout with your favorite lifts (Squats/Deadlifts/Bench). I will go heavy for you since you loved being a meat head.
‘And I will blast 2 Chainz, Birthday Song, through my headphones as you would have done.
‘We will get out to the pool because I know how much you loved being in a bikini and around water.
‘The kids are excited about one of your favorite dinner spots, getting white noodles from Olive Garden. Finishing the dinner with a cheesecake. Before I put the kids down for bed, we will watch one of your favorite movies, Elf.
‘Though the days go by without you, my mind is always filled with thoughts of you. Life will never be the same, but you will always be in my heart.. I love you ❤️’
Fans have responded with birthday wishes, as one follower replied: ‘Happy heavenly birthday Sara ????????’
‘Sending love to your family and heavenly birthday wishes to Sara,’ another fan tweeted, while a third wrote: ‘I cannot image this pain. God bless you and your family Sir.’
According to TMZ , Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office said last month that Lee left ‘letters of intent at the scene’ before her death, and ingested a lethal combination of alcohol and pills.
According to the documents, Lee also had abrasions and bruises on her head and body at the time of her death, but it’s thought she could have suffered the injuries in a fall while intoxicated.
She joined WWE in 2015 after winning their reality challenge show Tough Enough, having earned herself a one year contract with the company, and she later made her debut at an untelevised NXT event in January 2016.
Her final WWE match before her release saw her team up with Liv Morgan against IIconics duo Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, while she continued to train in the ring over the past few years, and married Blake (real name Cory Weston) in December 2017.
Lee’s mother confirmed her death on Facebook, saying her daughter was ‘gone to be with Jesus’ as she asked for space for the family to mourn their loss.
WWE led tributes to the late star, saying: ‘WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of Sara Lee. As a former “Tough Enough” winner, Lee served as an inspiration to many in the sports-entertainment world. WWE offers its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends and fans.’
