Series one of Russian Doll was met with great reviews and high praise from critics, and fans will be glad to learn that the show’s second season is due to land on Netflix soon. The sci-fi/comedy-drama stars Charlie Barnett as Alan and Natasha Lyonne as Nadia.
The synopsis for the hit show’s second series tells us: “Set four years after Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) and Alan (Charlie Barnett) escaped mortality’s time loop together, season two of Russian Doll will continue to explore existential thematics through an often humorous and sci-fi lens. Discovering a fate even worse than endless death, this season finds Nadia and Alan delving deeper into their pasts through an unexpected time portal located in one of Manhattan’s most notorious locations. At first they experience this as an ever-expanding, era-spanning, intergenerational adventure but they soon discover this extraordinary event might be more than they bargained for and, together, must search for a way out.”

Who is Russian Doll actress Natasha Lyonne?
Born in New York on April 4, 1979, Natasha Bianca Lyonne Braunstein is currently aged forty-three. From a very early age, she was involved in the world of modelling, TV, and film and has gone on to star in some huge movies like American Pie and Slums of Beverly Hills.
Her personal life has been turbulent, with much media spotlight shone on it. In an interview with The Guardian, it was reported that she was estranged from her parents as a teenager and went to NYU to study film and philosophy at the age of sixteen but left soon after arriving. She reportedly struggled with legal problems, serious medical problems, and heroin addiction for several years, attending rehab in 2006.
It was widely reported that she has recently split up from her long-term partner Fred Armisen. She has worked continually as an actress, producer, and writer and has been nominated for four Primetime Emmys, as well as numerous other awards.
