All about the last season

With the release of Never Have I Ever’s third season, viewers binge-watched all 10 episodes, cheering (or crying in agony) at the show’s dramatic cliffhanger. Devi has already experienced several highs and lows in season. Devi and Paxton were finally dating when Season 3 began, but no matter how hard Devi tried, her fears would not let her go. Paxton received his diploma at the end of the most recent season, and Devi continued her relationship with Ben, whom she had dated briefly in season 2 before he found she was cheating on him. It was announced that Never Have I Ever has been renewed for a fourth season prior to the release of season 3.

Devi makes the significant decision at the end of the season: to spend her senior year in Sherman Oaks with her friends and family. The season concludes before we find out if Devi and Ben are dating.

Are there any new faces?

Michael Cimino, who starred in Love, Victor, will play Ethan, a new student at Sherman Oaks High, in the final season. Cimino spent three seasons as Victor in the comedy before transferring to the teen hit, and he also made an appearance in the movie Senior Year.

Who all are coming back?

All of our favourite characters are likely to return as a result of Devi’s decision to remain at Sherman Oaks High rather than transfer to the Shrubland School, including Ben, Paxton, Eleanor, Fabiola, Aneesa, Nalini, Kamala, and Mr. K.

Sadly, one of Devi’s love interests won’t be returning for season 4. Pisharody confirmed that he doesn’t appear in the final season as Des.

Why is this the last season?

Showrunner Mindy Kaling discussed why she chose to end the series with Devi’s high school graduation rather than using the typical adolescent show trope of having all of the characters attend the same college in an interview. “Four seasons for a high school show felt like it made sense,” she said “They can’t be in high school forever. We’ve seen those shows. Like, you’ve been in high school for 12 years. What is going on here? Also, the actors get older and it starts looking insane that a 34-year-old is playing a 15-year-old.”

When is it releasing?

Never Have I Ever Season 4 airs on OTT on June 8, 2023.
