On June 1, 2023, around 11am EST, many users reported problems with the app.

According to Downdetector, users are reporting three main problems:

  • 73 percent are having issues accessing the app
  • 14 percent are having issues processing payments
  • 12 percent are having issues transferring funds

What are people saying about the outage?

Many users took to social media to try and figure out what was going on.

One user commented: “Where is my money!! Like its the first of the month cash app this is ridiculous.”

Another wrote: “So its not just direct deposit. My husband’s app keeps crashing when he tries to use his card to pay for gas to get to work. I hope they get all this fixed ASAP.. or at the very least acknowledge that there’s a damn problem.”
