Every Impressive Damage Test The Tesla Cybertruck Has Survived (And Which Defeated It) – SlashGear

In August, X user @Greggertruck posted photos and a short video showing two Cybertrucks that had been involved in a crash. Considering that no Cybertrucks have yet to be sold, these would have had to be part of a factory test. In April, Tesla released a video via its official X account showing a Cybetruck crash test at one of its facilities, but the video cuts out just before the moment of impact, and the timing of the video (it was released on April 1) casts some doubt as to the motivation behind its release.

Both Cybertrucks in Greggertruck’s photos and video suffered significant body and suspension damage, but the manufacturer has not made any official crash test data available yet.

Another social media video surfaced a few weeks ago that appeared to show a Cybertruck that had been involved in a rollover crash; this one suffered significant body damage as well.

But if Tesla hopes to remain on target to begin delivering the Cybertruck to customers in 2024, official crash testing will have to continue in earnest, and information should be available to the public before too much longer. Whether that means any more tommy gun or sledgehammer testing remains to be seen.
