Estate once owned by Queen Elizabeth II on sale for an estimated £7million
Fancy living in a piece of Royal history?
Well, for £6.975 million, you could be in with a chance.
A lush country estate complete with racing stables that used to be owned by the Queen herself is hitting the market.
The farm, located in West Ilsley Stables in Newbury, Berkshire, belonged to the monarch for a sizeable chunk of time between 1982 and 1999.
The ‘charming’ property was used by Her Majesty to train her award-winning racehorses.
The estate’s main residence, called Hodcott House, is a lush, classic red brick ivy-covered English farmhouse.
That building includes a main bedroom with two dressing rooms and an en suite, along with five more guest bedrooms.
There are also, naturally, impressive horse training grounds and equestrian facilities on the property too.
After the Queen, footballer Mick Channon took on ownership of the site, which has produced over 2,000 winning horses.
The stables contain enough for a dozen trainers to work there, and include 105 loose boxes, 35 stalls, a covered trotting ring, a lunging ring and a covered horse walker.
The site also includes a 5,000-square-foot office space with a connected two-bedroom flat.
Agents Knight Frank have the whole property up for sale in its entirety or in six lots.
