Escape To The Chateau stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge have reportedly paused ‘wedding bookings’ after Channel 4 cut ties with the couple.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the broadcaster confirmed to Metro.co.uk: ‘Following a review, we have taken the decision not to work with Dick and Angel on any new productions in the future.’

Production company Two Rivers Media also added: ‘We can confirm that we will no longer work with Dick and Angel and cannot comment further at the moment.’

The It’s A Sin broadcaster confirmed it would no longer work with Dick or his wife Angel Strawbridge following an investigation into their conduct.

The property programme’s production company Two Rivers Media also stated it had severed its working relationship with the couple.

TV duo Dick and Angel threw open the doors to their extravagant homes for a series of services – including a £38,000 wedding service.

However, their website  currently states: ‘We are currently on a two-year weddings ‘catch-up’, we will reopen enquiries as soon as we can!’

This comes after three of Dick and Angel’s former colleagues claimed to Deadline that they clashed with producers, while a further source alleged they were a ‘nightmare to work with.’

‘[They are] just spiky and volatile people,’ the insider added to Mail Online.

In 2021, sources from Escape To The Chateau’s former production company, Spark Media, claimed to The Times Dick and Angel were ‘abusive and bullying’ and had made filming an ‘an anxiety-inducing ordeal.’

The couple denied the allegations of aggressive and bullying behaviour to the publication at the time.

Dick and Angel are yet to comment on the fresh waves of claims concerning their conduct although Dick returned to social media on Thursday.

He posted a Story to his Instagram account in his kitchen clutching a copy of his son James’ cooking book Salt.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the couple posted a video of their two children alongside a promotion code for their shop on their joint Instagram account.

Escape To The Chateau premiered in 2016 and drew to a close after nine seasons, with the final episode being released in December.

Back in October, the couple insisted it was their decision to quit the programme.

Metro.co.uk has previously reached out to Dick and Angel’s reps for comment.

Escape to the Chateau is available to watch on Channel 4.
