Erik ten Hag is preparing to sell six Manchester United players at the end of the season including Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial, according to reports.

United strengthened in the January transfer window with the arrivals of Wout Weghorst and Marcel Sabitzer, who join on loan from Bayern Munich on deadline day.

According to the Daily Mirror, Ten Hag told United’s hierarchy last year that he needed up to three summer transfer windows in order to revamp his United squad and the Dutchman is ready to make major changes once this campaign is over.

The report claims that Maguire, Martial, Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek, Eric Bailly and Alex Telles will all be allowed to leave Old Trafford on permanent deals.

It’s understood that United believe this summer is the right time to cash in on Maguire, while the centre-back is also keen to secure regular playing time after losing his place in the team this season.

Martial, meanwhile, has struggled with injuries this season and has started just six games in the Premier League so far.

McTominay is another player who has seen a reduced amount of playing time under Ten Hag as the United manager has secured a solid midfield pairing of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen.

Van de Beek, who joined United in a £40 million deal from Ajax in 2020, has played just 166 minutes in the Premier League this season and is now sidelined with a knee injury.

Telles and Bailly were both sent out on loan last summer and United will be looking to sell them this year.
