Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden and Isabel Hodgins involved in ‘very heated clash’ on set

Matthew Wolfenden, 41, and Isabel Hodgins, 27, have reportedly been caught up in a row while filming with Aaron Anthony. The explosive row broke out as the Emmerdale stars filmed dramatic waterfall scenes for a blockbuster episode, with news of the row circulating after the pair were absent from last week’s episodes.

The Sun reported the rift on set with a source saying “it was very heated”.

Matthew Wolfenden, Isabel Hodgins and Aaron Anthony travelled to the site for what was billed as one of the show’s biggest stunts.

Matthew and Isabel — who play couple David Metcalfe and Victoria Sugden — were caught up in the row as they were filming with Aaron, who plays personal trainer Ellis Chapman.

A source told The Sun: “It left a lot of those present at the filming feeling uncomfortable.

“It was a very heated situation. Tempers were running very high.

Matthew is married to fellow Emmerdale star Charley Webb and joined the soap in 2006 as David.

Isabel also joined the same year at the age of just 12 and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the TV Choice Awards in 2007.

Matthew’s character has been a firm favourite on the show for many years, with his storyline at the moment being one of his biggest yet.

His character is caught in a love triangle between Victoria and Meena, with a recent plot seeing serial killer Meena attempting to murder Victoria.
