Asan N’jie has landed a role in a new Disney film four years after he was sacked from Emmerdale for threatening to stab fellow soap star Jamie Lomas.
The 28-year-old played Ellis Chapman in the hit ITV soap when footage of a row with Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas, 48, at the 2019 TV Choice Awards emerged.
In the video, Asan could be heard saying to Jamie: “Do you think you are a f***ing big man? I’m going to f***ing kill you.”
Before whispering: “I’m going to f***ing knife you.”
But now his career is seemingly back on track as he’s set to star alongside John Travolta in Disney’s new Christmas film The Shepherd, which will be shown on Disney+ later this year.

It is based on a novel by Frederick Forsyth which follows a fighter pilot who gets lost mid-flight over water whilst trying to get home to RAF Lakenheath on Christmas Eve.
The film was primarily shot on location in Norfolk at Raynham Hangar Studios in Fakenham, about 39 miles from where the story takes place.
Travola, 69, caused a bit of a stir last year as he was spotted out and about in Norfolk posing for fans in a series of selfies.
Asan confirmed the news via Instagram, where he posted a shot of the film’s IMDb page with the caption “#Theshepherd #2023 #Disney+.”
Fellow actor Sophie Craig responded in support saying: “Yessssss Asan!”(sic)
Whilst other fans also congratulated the actor on scoring such a big role with one leaving the comment: “Cream always rises to the top!”
Following the row at the TV Choice Awards, Asan took full responsibility and issued an apology hours before being axed by the soap. In a statement, he said: “My behaviour at the TV Choice awards was completely unacceptable and very much out of character.
“I sincerely apologise to everybody who has been affected, especially Jamie Lomas, the whole Emmerdale team, our audience, ITV, my family, and the organisers of the TV Choice Awards.
“I am devastated, accept full responsibility for my actions and I am determined to learn from this.”
This isn’t Asan’s first time on the big screen as before joining Emmerdale, the Yorkshire-born actor starred in Ready Player One and Murder on the Orient Express.
He also went on to star in Vera and BBC’s gritty crime drama Bloodlands.
