Spanish locals vandalised Elliott Wright’s Mijas restaurant and spray-painted the outside with Spanish words which translate to ‘Killer Elliot’ and ‘Mafia’.

The ex-Towie cast member owns a fine dining restaurant in the Spanish hills named Olivia’s La Cala and woke up to news it had been covered in red graffiti.

Elliott closed the doors to his famous eatery temporarily after one of his doormen was killed as he attempted to break up a brawl.

Jose Rafael Pisani Pardo, 55, was a father of two and died in the hospital on Sunday evening from life-threatening injuries sustained in the altercation.

Cousin to Mark Wright, Elliott is said to have suspended his business as an investigation into Pardo’s death began.

According to reports made by The Sun, the bouncer suffered serious injuries after knocking his head while intervening in a fight that had broke out between customers.

Before his death, he was unconscious while being rushed to hospital and placed into an intensive care unit as professionals attempted to save his life.

The restaurant’s social media account released a statement explaining what had happened and offered the former employee’s family their condolences.

It read: ‘This weekend we lost a much loved and valued member of our team.

‘Our hearts are broken and we have closed the restaurant today and tomorrow out of respect.

‘We are supporting our staff and the family whilst awaiting news of further investigations.’

Locals that were in the area on the night offered MailOnline eyewitness accounts and the publication reported that one source said: ‘The local reports talk of a group of people fighting but it was between two people.

‘The doorman went down as he tried to eject one of the two men.’

It wasn’t the first time the establishment was a victim of vandalism however as it was set alight in 2021 following an arson attack on the building.

The case is still being investigated and no arrests have been made in connection with the reportedly intentional blaze.

Olivia’s was first opened in 2015 and was forced to shut at the time of the fire so as to rebuild its infrastructure.

The fire happened only five weeks after the star’s father – Edward George – died from Coronavirus.

Metro.co.uk contacted Elliott’s reps for comment.
