Eight people taken to hospital after three-vehicle crash

Eight people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving three vehicles in Middleton. The collision took place on the A669 Oldham Road at around 10.30pm on Sunday.

One person was rescued from one of the vehicles by firefighters from the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS). Eight people were taken to hospital after being treated at the scene by paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service.

Oldham Road was closed in both directions from the B6189 Townley Street to the BP petrol station. The closure caused slow moving traffic in the area overnight.
