EastEnders’ Danniella Westbrook ‘out of intensive care’ after major health scare
EastEnders Danniella Westbrook is said to be ‘out of intensive care’ after being rushed to hospital.
The 47-year-old actress, who is known for playing Sam Mitchell on the BBC soap, was taken to hospital on Friday (October 29).
She was admitted into the intensive care unit following a sinus infection that saw her condition deteriorate very quickly, reported The Daily Star.

However, it now looked as though the star is slowly on the mend as an insider told said she was considering options to prevent the incident from occurring again.
“She is being seen by a specialist over the next few days to discuss options and surgery to stop this from happening again,’ an insider said.
“We hope she can be well soon and out of hospital very soon, [especially] as it’s her birthday next week, she’s a fighter, that’s for sure.”
Danniella, 47, had previously been given antibiotics to fight an infection but they hadn’t worked as well as doctors had hoped.
She is seeing a cancer palliative specialist in order to avoid any further complications with the infection.
They are discussing her surgical options that will prevent the mucus from her infection from spreading to her brain again but Danniella’s cancer had not returned and her hospitalisation was not down to a relapse, as was previously rumoured.
The insider added that Danniella “needs a break” from everything after previously admitting she had relapsed but was now clean again.
