EA announces new ‘hunting game’ in collaboration with Koei Tecmo Games – Times of India

Electronic Arts has announced a new partnership with Koei Tecmo Games to develop and release a new ‘hunting game’. EA has recently updated its official blog post to confirm the collaboration with Koei Tecmo and has described the upcoming title as “the next great hunting game.” The blog notes that the untitled game will be developed by Koei Tecmo’s studio named Omega Force, the team responsible for the Warriors series that includes titles like Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors.

The upcoming game will be placed under the recently successful EA Originals label which also includes other titles like It Takes Two and Knockout City. EA’s blog post explains that the new title will be an original IP that is expected to deliver “a truly AAA experience based in fantasy feudal Japan.” Moreover, the company has also promised that more details about the new title will arrive later this month.
Other projects from the developer
The Koei Tecmo-owned gaming studio, Omega Force has previously developed games across a range of genres which stretch from hack-and-slash games to hunting action games and more. Apart from the Warriors series, the studio is also behind other notable titles like Attack on Titan, Dragon Quest, Fire Emblem, Hyrule Warriors and more.

EA said that the company is “ thrilled to be partnering with the amazingly talented Omega Force team.” Moreover, EA executive, Jeff Gamon has even claimed that Omega Force has “elevated the hunting genre to the next level,” by combining its combat gameplay with “unexpected and innovative mechanics.”
