Duchess Sophie may follow beauty tip to ‘maintain a flawless look’ at Ascot
In order to keep their Ascot look “intact” and the hair and makeup “flawless despite the heat and humidity,” royals make sure they stay hydrated.
The experts from Badge Clinic suggested that royal women like Kate, Princess of Wales or Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, drink “plenty of water throughout the event so they don’t become dehydrated”.
On top of that, drinking plenty of water “will help rejuvenate your skin and hair so they look smooth and soft throughout the day”.
Royal women may also apply SPF before heading to Ascot, “to protect and maintain their skin’s health,” especially when arriving at the event in the royal carriage.
To prevent feeling sticky or dewy, there are “non-heavy creams that people can apply to avoid this”.
Before heading to Ascot, using a primer is essential to “create a flawless canvas for makeup, enhancing its longevity even in the most challenging condition”.
The experts recommended: “Opt for any silicone-based primers, as this will reduce the amount of oil and perspiration that your skin produces.”
The Duchess of Edinburgh may also use lightweight foundations or BB creams as opposed to heavy foundations.
This is because royal women should always ensure a “natural and breathable look that withstands the heat”.
The experts claimed that royal women always wear updos to attend Royal Ascot for a reason.
They explained that elegant updos and braids, such as a fishtail plait or a low bun, will “keep them cool” but also “radiate sophistication, complementing the Ascot ensemble”.
Royal women will likely use setting sprays to lock in their makeup and keep it in place throughout the day, “defying the effects of humidity and sweat”.
Similarly, they may wear water-resistant formulas for long-lasting eye makeup that resists smudging and smearing.
Burak Ersoy, the founder of Badge Clinic, commented: “Having the right knowledge and techniques to combat the challenges posed by summer temperatures, can help ensure a stunning appearance that lasts throughout the day.
“Being Ascot-ready is something that is on everyone’s mind, whether that’s by staying hydrated throughout the event, wearing lightweight makeup or embracing a fashionable updo, there are several ways people can maintain their impeccable beauty in the heat.
“Whether you’re a fashionista, a beauty enthusiast, or someone seeking to enhance their Ascot experience, following these tips can help you confidently conquer the day, whilst looking your absolute best. So be ready to turn heads, steal the spotlight, and make an indelible impression at Ascot this season.”
