DU Admission 2022: UG admissions through CUET score, 12th marks to be used as tiebreaker – Times of India

Many universities and colleges including the Delhi University have announced to use the CUET UG Exam 2022 scores as main criteria for admissions in Undergraduate courses. Student will get the admission on the basis of their CUET 2022 scores.
However, DU has also announced that in case of two or more students score the equal CUET scores so in that scenario their Class 12 result marks will be taken into consideration as a tie-breaker.

Delhi University Admission 2022 Guidelines Regarding Tie-breaking

As per media reports, Delhi University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh mentioned that Class 12 marks will be used as the tiebreaker formula in case of candidates with the same CUET score competing for the same seat for admissions this year.
As per the guidelines issued by DU regarding admission, based on the CUET score and the number of students – four scenarios will be used. First, to calculate the best of three marks. Second, to calculate the best of four and third, to calculate the best of five.
In case these three scenarios also fail to resolve the tie between the students, then the older candidates would be preferred based on the date of birth mentioned on their Class 10th marksheet.
CUET 2022
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the Central University Entrance Test, CUET Exam 2022. The Phase 6 exam of CUET 2022 is set to be held on August 24, 25, 26 and 30, 2022. As per the official notification, 1.91 lakh students will appear in Phase 6 on August 24, 25, and 26.
