Drivers are only just realising there’s a way to remove car scratches for 10p
DRIVERS left stunned by super cheap tip to fix light scratches on your car using ingredients from your kitchen.
Repairing light scratches can cost up to £100, but following this TikTok hack means forking out less than 10p using cheap-buys.
This low-cost solution uses basic products that you can find laying around your house.
TikToker @ArnieNegrete has revealed how to make your car look “brand new” using coconut oil and white vinegar.
The influencer tested the hack on his car step by step.
“Ok so I have this nasty scratch — let’s see if it will erase it. Here we go,” he said.
The video footage firstly showed him mixing the coconut oil and the white vinegar together.
He then rubs it lightly with a clean microfibre cloth onto the scratch before we see it completely disappear.
The result left the him stunned: “Oh! That’s so cool.”
The viral video has received nearly 30 million views and thousands of comments on social media.
Users were quick to react to the video praising the hack.
“It actually works,” said one person.
“Wow, I just saved myself £116,” another said.
“I’m going to try this,” said a third.
But others warned it had not worked for them, and said people shouldn’t test it on their cars.
One slammed: “DOES NOT WORK. I feel silly for trying it.”
“As a detailer, don’t do this people. Please, for the love of God, just get some Tcut and some compound polish,” another commented.
Others said it was just a temporary fix and the scratches came back after the mixture dried on the car.
“Bro it works for like an hour, then the scratches come back,” a user said.
