DRIVERS are just realising that a 29p kitchen staple can be used to clean windscreens in a flash.
A cleaning expert took to TikTok to share a number of tips to leave your car sparkling, including how to shift stubborn stains on the glass.
Chantel Mila, who promotes “cleaning hacks and styling” on her social media explained how an everyday item can be used to create a powerful dirt-busting solution.
She advised using “cleaning vinegar” to get rid of any marks and provide a shiny finish.
Homeowners can use white vinegar or distilled malt vinegar for the same effect.
The later is available from Asda for just 25p online.
Chantel said: “Mix equal parts cleaning vinegar and water to make your windscreens shine.”
The clip shows her wetting a cloth with the mixture and wiping down her windshield, removing a substantial amount of dust and grime with ease.
Her other handy car hacks included using a linen spray after vacuuming to banish bad smells and leave your car smelling fresh, as well as cleaning out tight crevices using a grout brush.
Commenters loved her suggestions and praised her online.
