Driver told they should be ‘ashamed’ over parking – but not everyone agrees
A DRIVER has been slammed for “inconsiderate” parking but some people disagree.
The lime green Kia was the focus of some angry online debate after it was spotted straddling two disabled parking bays in Leicester.
A picture of the motor controversially parked in a car park off Belvoir Road in Coalville, Leicester, was posted online with some suggesting the driver should be “ashamed” of themselves.
The gap between the two bays is not a parking space, therefore the car was left blocking access to two disabled parking spots – leading to much outrage online.
The original poster said: “I’ve seen some inconsiderate parking before but this really takes the biscuit.
“Whoever’s this is should be ashamed.”
The picture of the poorly parked vehicle was widely shared online, with another user saying: “They should be terribly ashamed.”
And whilst most were disgusted with the driver for parking across the two bays, surprisingly others came to their defense.
One user trying to see the funny side, said: “Technically still in the lines.”
Whilst another said: “Suppose technically they are not actually parked in the disabled spot.”
And a third added: “Sorry but to me, that’s completely considerate as three cars can now get in two spaces.”
Parking wars are not uncommon, with motorists regularly clashing when it comes to parking up their motor.
One driver revealed that he took “petty revenge” on a woman who stole his parking spot at a hospital where he works.
Another motorist caused controversy when they left a rude note on their windscreen explaining why they had parked across two parking spaces.
Whilst another driver got revenge against a 4×4 that was blocking two spaces in a car park in Ipswich.
