Driver sparks fury after blocking TWO spaces – but not everyone agrees

ONE driver’s parking has sparked outrage and division on social media – as motorists debate the car’s controversial position.

An Audi was snapped straddling the white line of a parking space outside a row of shops in Birstall, Leicestershire – taking up too much room to allow another car in.

The black vehicle appears to be using up both spaces rather than one which urged an annoyed passer-by into taking a photo, the Mirror reports.

The photographer then posted the picture on a Facebook page with the caption: “Why do people park like this?”

Little did the poster know, the pic was about to receive a flurry of answers ranging from frustrated to furious.

Facebook users battled back and forth over the seemingly selfish parking, either enraged by the picture or defending the mystery motorist.

One user wrote: “Why do people park like this? Genuine question, is it for a particular reason or is it just ignorance?”

While others were quick to jibe that the “ignorance came as part of the territory” of owning an Audi, suggesting it was “typical behaviour” of owners of the German car.

One said: “It’s called a complete lack of consideration! I’d stick a wheel clamp on it and a £100 fine.”

Another added: “It’s a convertible And an Audi…….says it all.”

However, some were slower to condemn the driver and willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

As one user put it, not only Audi drivers are to blame for appalling parking.

He commented: “Unfortunately this is the attitude of the modern driver. I see this a lot these days everywhere.”

Others jumped to defend the driver, saying he or she might have a valid reason for the positioning of their car.

One said: “Might have had a baby car seat. Can’t physically get them back into the car if you park in a regular space.”

Another said: “Maybe the car that was next to him didn’t park properly.”

A third comment, in defence of the motorist, wrote: “Might have been car over lines before he got there.”

The parking fury comes after drinkers have been fined £85 for parking while they enjoyed pints at their local pub – and now they’re saying it’s a con.

The fuming punters have spoken out in rage against the eye-watering fees issued at The Queslett in Streetly near Birmingham.

A few of the pub-goers were slapped with the hefty sum for parking in the designated car park while visiting the boozer to eat or drink.

Some are so upset they left fuming Tripadvisor reviews online about the venue.
