The man is filmed using a blow torch to get rid of the condensation that has built up on the inside of the widescreen of his car.

Although the man was intending to be funny, he was potentially putting his life at risk.

Using a blowtorch to demist your car could cause a fire or explosion.

Experts recommend using a blow torch in ventilated spaces, but in the video all the windows are closed.

Fortunately, most of the people commenting on TikTok felt the hack was stupid and dangerous.

One person sarcastically said: “I just put a newspaper on the dashboard and set a fire to it.”

One is starting the heater off cold, then slowly increasing the temperature as the air dries out.

Another simple hack is using the air-con in conjunction with the heater.

But, if your car doesn’t have a climate control system – opening the windows can help to get rid of the mist in the windscreen.

Drivers can be fined £2,500 and three penalty points if they drive with the windows misted up.
