Driver bemused after stranger leaves strange parking note on windscreen
A DRIVER was baffled after a stranger left him a bizarre note about parking on his windscreen.
Philip Hargreaves parked his car on Stubbins Lane in Ramsbottom, Greater Manchester, earlier this month.
When he got back to his car, he found a short and cryptic note scribbled in blue marker on his windscreen.
It said: “Can I park outside your house so you have nowhere to park when you get home.”
Sharing the bizarre message on Facebook, Mr Hargreaves said the note was “so funny” and suggested it was a passive aggressive way of telling him not to park in that space.
He wrote: “Not private parking and someone wrote this on my car?
“You can’t park in a public space in Ramsbottom?
“What’s going on?”
The driver added: “P.S. of course you can park outside my house, it’s a public road – so it’s allowed come and see me, I’ll direct you in and I definitely won’t leave a note.”
Dozens of people have since commented on the post, with one person writing: “Parking police everywhere! We can’t see them, but they are there, lurking with their bad handwriting and markers.”
Another joked that Ramsbottom has become ‘Karen headquarters’.
Someone else said: “Rammy has changed.
“Back in the day that piece of paper would of been a human turd or a brick through your window.”
