Drake’s terse response to fan who chucked vape on stage during Brooklyn show
Drake was less than impressed after a fan lobbed a vape onto the stage during his performance at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn on Thursday night.
The 36-year-old rapper stopped his set after the object hit the podium to give the fan a piece of his mind – and he was not happy.
In clips uploaded to TikTok, the Hotline Bling singer was filmed as he broke out of song to address the ticket-holder who had chucked the e-cigarette at the star.
The footage showed Drake explaining that he would never pick up the item and use it in the middle of his show.
He could be heard condemning the act as he said the words: ‘Did you throw a vape over here? Come on. Who threw this? Who threw the vape.
‘There’s no way you’re taking life serious if you think I’m gonna pick this vape up and vape with you at the f***ing Barclays Center. You got some real life evaluating to do.’
Telling the crowd it was ‘lemon mint’ flavour, the artist kicked the plastic stick around the stage for a while before carrying on with his planned performance.
Fans rushed to comment underneath the video that circulated the internet with one saying: ‘drake don’t mess wit that [sic].’
Another typed: ‘this is why I love drake [sic],’ while a separate social media user noted: ‘I mean, priorities.. [sic].’
The vape incident came after the star was hit with a bra and underwear pieces during a recent show in Detroit.
In another video posted to TikTok the moment was filmed and captured the hitmaker joking that he was on ‘clean up duty’ as he picked up the undergarments.
A number of clothing items could be scene in the clip littering the stage before phones caught a trainer flying through the air and landing inches away from the global star.
As it hit the floor, Drake shouted into his mic and exclaimed: ‘Oh s***! What the f***?
‘This is not what we want to see, a big-a** shoe. Nah, nah, nah. It’s bras only.
‘This is what I need for you to do for me, Detroit. Please stop throwing bras up here, I feel like I’m on clean-up duty tonight.’
Metro.co.uk contacted Drake’s reps for comment.
