Drag Race star reveals gruesome penis injury from tucking too much
The drag queen, 38, is best known for competing on the ninth season of Drag Race and for winning the fourth season of the All Stars spin-off, a title she shared with Monet X Change.
Since the franchise first hit screens in 2009, several queens have been left with some pretty rough injuries, including many knee and ankle mishaps.
However, when it comes to having the worst one, Trinity’s surely takes the cake.
While appearing on the Sibling Rivalry podcast, alongside co-host and fellow All Stars winner Monet, Trinity revealed her famed tucking ability landed her with an horrific, graphic injury on season nine.
‘We filmed for so many hours on the runway and I did so many naked looks, my penis was taped so long every day, I started to get black welts,’ she recalled.
‘I thought that I had an STD the whole time I was filming.
‘This is right around the time that Eureka gets eliminated for an injury. I’m like, “b***h, I’m not telling them that my d*** is falling off, I am keeping this to myself”.’
While Trinity’s injuries were clearly pretty painful, she later poked fun at them on All Stars, writing a song about her tucking talent during the variety show challenge.
However, she’s now said she now prefers to tuck with ‘vinyl that has a stretch to it’ after a doctor told her she was allergic to duct tape.
‘I went to the doctor as soon as we got done filming, because it was that way the whole time, and I had to tape over that. It was bad. It looked like a horror movie down there,’ she explained.
‘I went to a doctor as soon as I got back to Florida and they were like: “No, you don’t have an STD, but you’re allergic to duct tape”.’
Shocked by what she was hearing, Money shrieked ‘girl, no’ as the story was being re-told, and later explained that while she rarely tucked, on an occasion that she did, it caused a massive wardrobe malfunction.
‘It was really rough. I taped myself and I thought it was going well. Then, as I was waiting to walk down the runway, I’m sweating,’ she said.
‘As I was walking, the tape was just unsticking.
‘That’s why they had to blur my runway on season 10, because my d*** and the tape was fully out.’
She added that it was totally embarrassing and she’s never been able to watch the moment play out on screen.
RuPaul’s Drag Race is streaming on BBC iPlayer.
