‘Don’t be idiots’ Jayde Adams throws support behind Ellie Taylor

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Jayde Adams, 37, has thrown her support behind fellow comedian Ellie Taylor, 38, following her latest performance on Saturday night. Ellie was praised for her Charleston routine with Johannes Radebe by fans on social media, but many are also fearing for her place in the competition due to an ongoing trend this series.

Dedicated fans of the show have noticed that four couples this year have ended up being sent home after performing the routine.

Twitter user S commented: “Praying that Ellie Taylor breaks this year’s wicked Charleston Strictly curse this evening x #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly.”

Es typed: “Ellie Taylor having to do a Charleston after the last two couples who went home did a Charleston #strictly.”

Another viewer named Poppy said if anyone could beat the curse, it would be Ellie.

After judges chose to save Molly Rainford over her, the latter said of her exit: “This has been the best thing I have ever done in my life and I will carry it to my grave.

“It has been an absolute pleasure working with you (Karen) and learning about so much that will go into my own stuff, in my own work.

“You are one of the most gifted people I have ever worked with Karen.

“And everyone on this show, said it to me, when I had you, they said ‘you’ve got the best one’ sorry everyone, and I did and you are fantastic and this has been such an honour.

“Not only have I got to be on Strictly Come Dancing but I got to have Karen Hauer, you are amazing, thank you for everything!”

Proving there’s no bad blood between her and her former bottom two rival, the comedian also threw support behind Molly this evening.

She tweeted: “Holy s**t @mollyrainford. Sorry um… who was the professional dancer in that Rhumba? WOW #strictly.

“Molly and Carlos deserved a 40 for that Rhumba. It’s the best I’ve seen on #StrictlyComeDancing in YEARS.”

Strictly Come Dancing: The Results air tomorrow at 7.20pm on BBC One.
