Donny Osmond celebrated his son’s new arrival on Twitter, sharing a heartwarming snap as he cradled the newborn in his lap, still wrapped in a hospital blanket.
On Thursday evening, the singer declared: “Thank you, Chris and Alta for bringing another beautiful grandson into Debbie’s and my life. Welcome to our family, Dune Tyler Osmond.
“You truly are an angel from heaven.”
Within hours the post garnered hundreds of comments and thousands of likes as dedicated fans shared their support and excitement over the newest member of the Osmond clan.
The 65-year-old also received some notes of congratulations from his fellow A-list pals, including the likes of Star Wars icon Mark Hamill.
Some fans also made light-hearted jokes about the star’s sensational family as it continues to grow at a rapid pace.
Little Dune is Donny’s 14th grandchild, after his youngest son Joshua welcomed baby Beckham just nine months ago.
The announcement came just days after Donny proudly promoted Christopher’s own endeavours as the 32-year-old follows in his father’s footsteps through the music industry.
Chris is Donny’s second youngest, and has often been dubbed his father’s lookalike. The budding musician also shares a unique connection with Donny as their birthdays are just days apart, leaving the father-son duo with combined celebrations for many years.
Chris and his wife Alta welcomed their first child, daughter Aussie, in November 2020 after getting married in 2017.
Dealing with a large family is nothing new for the Soldier of Love singer, who grew up with eight brothers and one sister and catapulted to fame in the 1970s as part of his siblings’ band The Osmonds.
However, while his own siblings mostly all shared the same fondness for music, Donny’s five sons all sport vastly different careers.
Chris and his older brother Brandon share their father’s musical talent, although both have an equal fondness for photography.
On the other hand, Donny’s two eldest sons couldn’t be further from the entertainment industry Donald Jr works at a public relations firm and Jeremy is a physical therapist.
Donny’s youngest, Joshua, shocked his father’s fanbase in 2016 when he moved to Italy to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, although he has moved back to America since starting his own family.
