Just a month after advising her followers to “change [their] mindset” on returning to work after the holidays, Donnalyn Bartolome is once again at the receiving end of criticisms for a now-deleted Facebook post about pregnancy.

Bartolome caught the attention of netizens after sharing a Facebook post on Monday, Feb. 6 with the caption, “Maganda talaga pag binuntis. Kidding aside, maganda pa din kayo mommies (You’re beautiful if someone got you pregnant. Kidding aside, you’re beautiful mommies).”

The social media personality also replied to a netizen’s comment who appeared to be feeling insecure about her looks, saying, “Mommy isipin mo nalang binuntis ka… sobrang ganda mo siguro. Ako walang bumubuntis. Parang talo moko sa ganda wag ka na ma-insecure diyan haaa. I’m sure maganda ka. Smile ka na yiiie.” Bartolome, however, was quick to delete her post on the same day.

(Mommy, just think that someone got you pregnant. Perhaps, you’re very beautiful. No one is getting me knocked up. So, this means that you’re more beautiful than me. Don’t be insecure, okay? I’m sure you’re beautiful. Please smile.)

Even if Bartolome’s post was deleted from her Facebook page, sharp-eyed netizens was still able to capture the conversation and uploaded it on social media, with some of them calling her controversial statement as a publicity stunt to get “engagement” on social media.

“At this point she’s just making obviously controversial statements for clout and engagement,” one @Spokening_Isay said.

Facebook user Mabelle Flores Castañeda described Bartolome as a content creator who “wastes oxygen” on INQUIRER.net’s post.

“Whenever I try to judge myself harshly, I always remember that someone like Donnalyn Bartolome exists. That if someone like her with no [discernible] talent and intellect is able to waste oxygen, then I’m safe,” she said.

Another @_vicdiaz said, “Sinasadya [n]iya mag comment ng mga ganyan para nga naman trending siya at kumita na naman (She’s said those remarks on purpose just so she can trend on social media and earn money).”

Twitter user @meanY0ung listed Bartolome’s recent controversies on social media, describing them as her “cringe tally.”

Facebook user Jay Lim revealed that he “personally” doesn’t like the influencer, but they appeared to have lauded her for her ways to gain attention on social media.

“I gotta give her props, she knows how to make money…she knows anything she says will be seen under the microscope, so why not take advantage of it. After all, regardless of the outcome, it’s a win-win for her,” they added.

One John Vincent Dy Ocampo, on the other hand, said pregnancy should be seen in women’s different perspectives because “some will see this as a blessing while [others] will see [it] as a curse.”

Since the beginning of the year, the “Kakaibabe” singer has been a controversial personality on social media after she was accused of promoting “toxic positivity” after the holiday season. She stood firm on her remarks despite the backlash, where she shared throwback photos documenting her past when she used to be poor and said that her statement came from her personal experience.

The controversial influencer also gained the ire of netizens last year after having a sexy baby-themed photoshoot, which she later stated as an “honest mistake”, in July 2022 and for hosting a kanto-themed birthday party a month later. EDV
