Award-winning actress Dolly de Leon will lead the jury in selecting the winners of the first Summer Metro Manila Film Festival’s (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal at the New Frontier Theater on April 11.
De Leon will be the chairperson of the jury for the Summer MMFF’s awards night as it will recognize the best out of the eight film entries including Jun Robles Lana’s “About Us But Not About Us,” Brillante Mendoza’s “Apag,” Chris Martinez’s “Here Comes the Groom,” Joven Tan’s “Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko: The Music of Rey Valera,” Bela Padilla’s “‘Yung Libro Sa Napanuod Ko,” RC delos Reyes’ “Unravel: A Swiss Side Love Story,” Fifth Solomon’s “Single Bells,” and JP Habac’s “Love You Long Time.”
“Known for her excellence and integrity as an artist and as a person, the MMFF Execom has chosen Dolly Earnshaw de Leon, an internationally acclaimed Filipino film, television, and theater actress as Jury Chair of the 1st Summer MMFF,” MMFF spokesperson Noel Ferrer said in an official statement sent to INQUIRER.net.
The Gabi ng Parangal will be held at the New Frontier Theater on Tuesday, April 11 with an 8:00 p.m. telecast on OnePH and a delayed telecast on TV5 at 10:45 pm. EDV
