A couple were left confused after receiving a note from a stranger which accused them of being ‘cruel and evil’ for not walking their dogs.
Husband and wife Kate and Vinny Field own two ‘happy and healthy’ Dobermanns Veronica and Regina, LeedsLive reports.
When the pets joined the family in 2018, Kate said she would take them both on two walks a day.
But she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in June 2019 and now can’t take them both on walks alone.

Veronica and Regina are instead left to run freely in the garden and once a week, business owner Vinny takes them to a private field where they run for an hour.
The couple, who live in the Lawnswood area of Leeds, have now received a stenciled letter slamming them for not taking the dogs on enough walks.

Kate, who admitted she was ‘raged’ when she first got the letter, decided to share it on Facebook to ask the owner of the letter to come and speak with them.
The letter reads: “Take yore (sic) dogs for a walk you cruel evil people. Big dogs like what you have should be taken for a walk and not just left in a garden to probably paddle in their own faeces. This is from all the local dog owners and other disgusted people.
“We have reported you.”
Kate, recalling how she felt when she first read the letter, said: “It really enraged me when I first saw it thinking ‘who do they think they are’.
“I would love for them to come forward, I would explain I can’t physically walk them.”
Vinny questioned: “It’s weird. How long must it have taken to stencil every word, they even spelt the second word wrong but it must have taken some painstaking time.
“They’ve got so much time on their hands that we haven’t got.”
Veronia, nicknamed Ronnie, joined the family in April 2018 at eight months old but sadly, she had been mistreated by the previous owners.
She also doesn’t like young children and other dogs meaning Kate would have to take her out for walks when she knew they wouldn’t bump into the kids or dogs.
Regina, also known as Reggie, was eight weeks old when the couple brought her home.
Kate continued: “We’re quite alright people, if you have a problem you can come and speak to us. Whether they actually know us or really don’t know much about the dogs.
“The dogs get enough exercise, I don’t understand where this has come from or why they sent the letter.
“I’m not strong enough to take them out. We’ve got one of the largest gardens in our street, if you were to go around and run all the way (through the garden) and to the side of the house, you’d get a lot of exercise. They also have all the downstairs.
“With the dogs we got, most people when they see them they’ll cross the road because they’re so scared of them. It’s like you can’t win.
“The oldest (Ronnie), she doesn’t like young children or other dogs even though she live with another dog. They’re also very protective.
“We’re responsible dog owners, they’re happy, healthy and loved. Whoever sent the letter has no idea. A lot of people have said it’s a hate letter and to report it to the police.
“If they have gone to the RSPCA or other animal charities, if they came out to see our dogs, they would say there’s no way they’re mistreated.”
Another nonsensical stenciled letter was also sent to someone in Meanwood talking about bombs and Kate suspects it could be the same culprit.
