Through a report by Deadline, it has been understood that content such as House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, Succession and more is all set to leave Disney+ Hotstar. It seems as though, this decision is being made after the announcement of restructuring and cost-cutting by Disney CEO, Bob Iger.
At the same time, the report also states that the next destination for HBO content in India could be Prime Video. The platform already has a deal with Warner Bros Discovery with regards to streaming HBO Max original content in India. This comes after Warner Bros Discovery scrapped the plan of creating a standalone HBO Max service in India.
At the moment, we do not know if this move will take place and if it does then when can you expect the content to move. For the time being, users should choose Disney+ Hotstar for their beloved HBO content. If there any changes to the platform, then an official announce will be arriving shortly.
