Disabled mum ‘horrified’ after finding ‘disgusting’ note slapped on her car
A DISABLED mum was left horrified after finding a “disgusting” note taped to her car.
The woman was shopping with her daughter when she returned to find the message on her vehicle, which had been parked legally in a disabled bay.
Despite a disability badge being on full display, someone left a raging note calling for the pair to follow the rules.
The note said: “Hi, Are you truly disabled?
“You both walked from your car like athletes. Please follow the rules.”
The daughter, from Canberra, Australia, blasted the person who left the note as “heartless”.
“The absolute gall to leave this on my mother’s car,” she wrote on Reddit.
“My mother is disabled, her disability isn’t visible.
“She was legally given a disability parking permit because she is DISABLED!
“What a moron.”
Hundreds of people jumped to support the disabled mum and her daughter – and shared similar experiences.
“Please let your mum know that the rest of society does not judge people like this, it’s an act of a lonely coward,” one said.
Another wrote: “OMG, the writer of that note needs to f*** off right now, then f*** off some more.
“I’m sorry you were on the receiving end of this. I hope your mother will continue to use disability parking.
“When we make sure people with disabilities have access, society wins.”
A third commented: “Someone must have been having a very bad day. I’m sorry you found this note on your car.
“There’s no need to ever justify why you have a disabled ‘sticker’.
“It’s no-one’s business but your own, no matter how cruel some people are in reminding you you have one.”
An Australian disability parking permit allows the permit holder to park in specific spots.
It comes after a motorist claimed he was left terrified after raging neighbours left sinister notes on parked cars.
Another drive was furious after finding a handwritten note on her car demanding she park elsewhere.
