Bimby Aquino Yap, the youngest son of Kris Aquino, sent netizens abuzz after he was spotted at what appeared to be a contract signing with talent agency Cornerstone Entertainment.

Bimby was seen at an intimate gathering with the agency’s president Erickson Raymundo, vice president Jeffrey Vadillo, senior artist handler Cristine Calawod and veteran host Boy Abunda, who stood as the guardian of Aquino’s son, via Cornerstone’s Instagram post on Tuesday, June 27.

“The Cornerstone fam with Bimb [emojis] Exciting days are truly ahead for the young star! Mr. Boy Abunda stood in as a guardian for Bimb while Kris [Aquino is still away,” the caption read, along with the hashtag “#CornerstoneArtist.”

While neither Cornerstone nor Bimby have yet to confirm the speculations, netizens showed their support for the latter’s milestone, as seen in the comments of the agency’s post.

The gathering took place weeks after Aquino’s son returned home to the Philippines to reunite with his older brother Josh and their family.

Bimby’s father, basketball player James Yap, earlier spoke about their “renewed relationship” in a Philippine Daily Inquirer interview, in which he shared that he’d been “praying” to hear from his son after “eight years.”

“I’m super happy to hear from Bimb after eight years. I’ve been praying for this day to come. Na-miss ko sobra si Bimb! It’s the best Father’s Day gift ever. He said that he is looking forward to seeing his brother MJ again and [meeting] his sister Francine soon. He wished me luck in my new career as a public servant,” he was quoted as saying.  /ra
