Diane Keaton, who has dated personalities like Warren Beatty, Al Pacino and Woody Allen, is living her life as a single woman. The Hollywood actress never married and confessed she doesn’t “think it would have been a good idea” anyway.
Her singleness has always been a topic of conversation, but the actress does not seem fazed about it: “I’m glad I didn’t [get married],” she said in a 2019 interview with People, revealing that she hasn’t had a date in 35 years.
She told the outlet that she was convinced there was “something missing” in herself, she didn’t and still doesn’t possess the “nurturing” personality that a husband or partner would require.
The 77-year-old Oscar winner also told her Hanging Up co-star Lisa Kudrow in 2021 that the main reason she never tied the knot with anyone was not to lose her own personal freedom.
Keaton said in a feature for Interview: “I didn’t want to give up my independence.”

Recently, she was asked the same questions by AARP Magazine, to which she bluntly replied: “I don’t date.”
Going into more detail, she said: “I don’t remember anyone calling me, going, ‘This is so-and-so. I’d like to take you out’. They don’t happen. Of course not.”
However, even if Keaton never settled down romantically, that did not prevent her from creating a family for herself.
The popular actress adopted two children after she turned 50, Dexter and Duke, who took her last name.
She also welcomed another member to the family, not too long ago. A golden retriever named Reggie.
When talking about her furry friend, she fondly recalled: “A friend of mine gave her to me. I didn’t even ask for her. He came to me and said, ‘I think you need this dog’.
“I was like ‘OK, I guess?’ Of course, now I just love her. Dogs are irresistible. They’re just idiots. Reggie is a big jerk, and she’s a great jerk, and she’s hilarious.”
Keaton is, therefore, never alone. As a busy actress, a mother of two, and even a dog mum, she has her hands full.
