Diablo 4 Reportedly Bricking Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti GPUs; New Patch Unveiled for Long Queue Times

Diablo 4’s currently undergoing beta open testing with players, prior to its June full release. While players continue to face issues with queue times, one section of players have found a concerning issue that has caused their GPUs to stop working.

Several Diablo 4 players have reported that their Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti GPUs crash or even stop working completely. On Blizzard’s official forums and Reddit, players have shared instances of these GPUs working awry, before shutting down.

The developers of the game have since acknowledged the issue and are now currently investigating the matter with Nvidia. The dev team shared a few troubleshooting tips for players running into any GPU issues. These include:

  1. Conduct a complete power cycle (AC OFF->AC ON) and see if the GPU can be detected under Windows.
  2. If the GPU can be found under Windows, do a clean driver install.

New patch for Diablo 4 sees improved queue times

Diablo 4’s open beta release has been largely mired by the unbelievably long queue times that players have had to face in order to try out the title. The developers at Blizzard have claimed that these issues will “help pave the way” for the game’s full launch on June 6.

Prior to the open beta launch last week, Blizzard unveiled a patch with various fixes. This included fixes for issues, which will result in improved queue times.
