Destiny 2 Witch Queen Day 1 Raid: Weapon and Armor Changes You Should Know About
The Witch Queen extravaganza continues as Destiny 2 will see the release of the game’s latest Raid tomorrow.
With the Vow of the Disciples Raid set to launch in the next few hours, many players will be looking to grab the coveted award of being part of the first fireteam to complete it during the World First race.
However, finishing the game’s most difficult PvE activity won’t be a walk in the park, and Bungie has even made it harder for the community after disabling some of the more popular weapons, armor, mods and exotics that could have given them the edge.
The developers shared the news in the most recent This Week At Bungie blog post, where they revealed the disabling of the following items:
Weapons
- IKELOS_SMG_V1.0.2 Legendary SMG
- Imperial Needle Legendary Bow
- Grand Overture Exotic Machine Gun
- Wardcliff Coil Exotic Rocket Launcher
Armor and Mods
- Wormgod Caress Titan Exotic Gauntlets
- Peregrine Greaves Titan Exotic Legs
- Suppressing Glaive Artifact Armor Mod
The first 24 hours in the Contest Mode will see players being capped at 20 Power below each encounter of the raid during the entire race. Players will also want to make sure that they reach 1530 Power by tomorrow, as Bungie has noted that it will be quite the challenge for the community to complete the Raid without crossing over the limit. However, Artificial Power will be enabled, and it will only benefit players under the 1530 Cap during the Contest mode.
Along with that, we also have news about the rewards for the winners of the World First race. The six members of the winning fireteam will be given raid World First title belts. Moreover, Guardians who complete the Vows of the Disciples raid during Contest mode will also be awarded with a special emblem as well.
The raid will begin at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET/ 6 PM GMT/ 11:30 PM IST, so make sure to join in as quick as possible in order to try and stake a claim for the rewards.
