Denver real estate agency revamps old scrapyard on Colfax Avenue as new headquarters

A Denver real estate agency transformed an old scrapyard on Colfax Avenue into its new headquarters.

Ringsby Realty Corporation, a commercial industrial brokerage firm, recently relocated to the property at 1801 W. Colfax Ave. near Meow Wolf Denver. Last week, the firm leased its former site at 1336 Glenarm Place to Omnia International, a holding company, in a five-year deal.

“We’re all moved in, and we leased out the old building,” said Alex Ringsby, president of Ringsby Realty, in a Wednesday phone call. “It’s big for us.”

The completion of the project marks three years of work since the initial purchase of the Colfax property. It was acquired for $720,000 in October 2020 from Schwartz Properties LLLP, according to Denver public records.

“This seemed like a great opportunity” for development, Ringsby added.

The team turned the scrapyard’s former machine shop into an office that spans about 4,000 feet. The all-new recreation room once served as a scale house for the weighing of trucks.
