Denver Film Festival releases 2022 dates, ticketing info for 45th anniversary
The Denver Film Festival will mark its 45th anniversary this fall with red carpet celebrations, citywide screenings and extras that fans of the region’s largest film event have come to expect, such as virtual reality and immersive programming.
“We’re eager to get back to our fully in-person festival lineup this fall and a return to the foundation of our Denver Film approach and vision for this annual cinematic celebration,” Denver Film CEO Kevin Smith said in a press statement. “Our well-respected programming team is continuing to build out this year’s diverse film lineup and in-person guests, and we look forward to sharing those announcements in the weeks ahead.”
Denver Film — the nonprofit producer of the event — said the festival will officially return Nov. 2-13. Tickets will go on sale starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18. The ticket launch includes a limited number of Mile High level and All Access passes, and will be available at denverfilm.org.
A five-ticket packet runs $75 (or $55 for Denver Film members), while 10-ticket packs cost $145 (or $110 for members). Mile High Passes are $450 ($325 for members) and All Access passes are $2,000 ($1,750 for members).
Tickets to individual screenings, special presentations, red carpets, panels and Creative Conversations will go on sale to Denver Film members Oct. 4, and to the general public Oct. 7. Tickets range in price from $5 for panels/Creative Conversations to $75 for red carpet films and parties.
The festival’s opening night, on Wednesday, Nov. 2, includes a screening and red carpet-welcome at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, with subsequent red carpet screenings to take place there, and more screenings at the Sie FilmCenter (Denver Film’s home base), Denver Botanic Gardens and the AMC 9+CO 10 — the last of which hosted several successful screenings for the first time last year.
Denver Film officials said programming includes feature and feature-length documentary premieres from local and international filmmakers; immersive and virtual reality programming; special events such as panels, parties and industry guests; music videos; shorts packages; and episodic content.
