Death Stranding is free to download and keep! Hurry to claim your free copy
Hideo Kojima’s divisive delivery-em-up Death Stranding is the latest game to be given away for free on the Epic Games Store. In order to kick off this year’s MEGA Sale with a bang, Epic Games is giving customers the ability to download and keep the former PlayStation exclusive for free. Just visit the Epic Games Store, sign in to your account, and add Death Stranding to your library. Once you’ve claimed the title, it’s yours to download and keep.
Needless to say, the offer won’t be available forever, so you’d better act fast if you want to pick up your copy of Death Stranding.
Death Stranding is available for free from now until 3.59pm BST UK time on May 25. It will be replaced by a mystery game at 4pm BST UK time on May 25.
Epic typically announces its free games ahead of schedule. The fact that next week’s freebie is a mystery leads me to think it will be another blockbuster.
If you’ve got some money to spare, it’s also worth checking out the Epic MEGA Sale, which is packed full of major league discounts.
Far Cry 6 is available for just £12.49, FIFA 23 is down to £17.99, GTA 5 Premium Edition is £14.99, and Crime Boss: Rockay City is £27.99.
There are also big savings to be made on titles like Back 4 Blood, the Batman Arkham games, Citizen Sleeper, and the old Fallout games.
Death Stranding, meanwhile, made its debut to largely positive reviews back in 2019.
Epic explains more: “From legendary game creator Hideo Kojima comes an all-new, genre-defying experience. Stay connected with the ‘Social Strand System’.
“Sam Bridges must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the disconnected remnants of our future in his hands, he embarks on a journey to reconnect the shattered world one step at a time.”
The Epic Games edition comes with a host of extra content and bonus DLC, including a digital art book, plus gold and silver outfits.
