Death Stranding 2: Elle Fanning Says New Mocap Technology Will Make Game Look ‘Perfect’
Elle Fanning is playing the lead role in Hideo Kojima’s upcoming game, Death Stranding 2. She recently spoke about the technology that is being used to bring the title to life, as she praised the development behind it.
Fanning appeared on Kojima’s Brain Structure podcast (via GamesRadar) and said that Death Stranding 2 looks “outstanding” and “real” already. She even added that she knows the game will look even better as development goes on.
Kojima noted that the development team for Death Stranding is using a new technology for the game and the scanning process was difficult. Despite Kojima’s cautionary note that the game is still a work-in-progress and not what it will look like in the end, Fanning maintained her stance that the final product will be even more impressive.
Kojima revealed Death Stranding 2 at The Game Awards in December. The game features returning actors Norman Reedus, Lea Seydoux, and Troy Baker, as well as newcomer Shioli Kutsuna. Kojima also stated that he rewrote the entire game after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kojima has also teased working on some other games. He posted three logos on his Twitter with the cryptic caption “start a new journey.” Fans are curious if the game designer is teasing Overdose or some other games altogether.
