Death In Paradise star Ralf Little forced to prove identity as actor confronts imposter

Ralf Little, who stars as DI Neville Parker in the BBC drama Death In Paradise, recalled a moment he was told that a stranger in Manchester had been pretending to be him for weeks. The 41-year-old admitted he had to prove his identity following the imposter revelation.

Ralf chatted with his best pal and fellow actor Will Mellor, 45, in a candid clip that had his fans in hysterics.

The BBC star revealed that he had been in Revolution in Manchester when two girls on a night out suggested that he was only pretending to be “Ralf Little”.

The people in question informed him that a man had been impersonating him for weeks in a bid to get free drinks at bars.

After being approached by the two women, Ralf said: “We were just making small talk and after about 30 seconds they went, ‘Wait… you are Ralf Little aren’t you?'”

They initially didn’t believe he was the British actor and he was forced to prove his identity by whipping out his ID and showing them.

Ralf explained: “They’re like, ‘There’s been a guy going around Manchester claiming he’s you, and he looks just like you and he goes around and he gets free drinks everywhere he goes.

“And I said, ‘I don’t get free drinks and I AM me!’”

Later in the night, the girls found Ralf after realising that the impersonator was at the club, and the star said: “They come running up an hour later saying, ‘He’s here, he’s here!’

But to the impersonator’s surprise, the real Ralf stood before him and he swiftly apologised.

Ralf said: “He went, ‘Sorry mate, I was just getting away with it,’ and he was so disarming I just went, ‘Ah never mind, how do you get free drinks?!’

“And he said, ‘I just go to the bar and say, I’m Ralf Little, can I get free drinks?’ And I said, ‘I can’t do that!’”

Ralf shared the video on Instagram, in view of his 82,000 followers where he explained the incident took place back in 2002.
