Deal Alert: Walmart Has a 65″ Sony 4K OLED TV (Refurb with 10 Months of Warranty) for $1099
Walmart (via Beach Camera) currently has the 2022 65″ Sony A80K 4K OLED TV for only $1099. This is a factory recondition TV that has been refurbished directly by Sony. What that means is that it comes with a 6-month Sony warranty. In addition, you get a 4-month 3rd party (CPS) warranty on top of that for a total of 10 months. Considering the fact that this bundle costs $1850 new, this is a pretty great deal. Beach Camera is a legit company and is an authorized Sony reseller.
2022 65″ Sony A80K 4K OLED TV (Refurb with 10-Months of Warranty) for $1099
its 2022 Sony A80K TV use a true OLED panel. OLED TVs are considered the best TVs you can buy right now. OLED offers better image quality, deeper blacks, better contrast ratio, wider color gamut, and super fast response times. Because it uses a WOLED panel, it’s not quite as bright as the newer LG C3 and C2 TVs with their next-gen Evo panels, but that’s the only difference between the two in terms of image quality (it’s more in line with the LG C1).
The A80K is marketed as a gaming TV and is host to several welcome gaming-centric features. It has a true 120Hz panel and two HDMI 2.1 ports for running 4K at 120Hz on a PS5, Xbox Series X, or RTX 30 series equipped PC. There’s also native variable refresh rate (VRR), which is this TV’s version of adaptive sync technology, as well as auto low latency mode (ALLM), which means that the TV auto-switches to a lower latency during gameplay.
Exclusive to higher end Sony TVs like this one is a feature catered specifically for the PS5 console called Auto HDR Tone Mapping. It works similarly to HGiG or Dolby Vision. Basically your PS5 will recognize which model TV you have and apply the optimized HDR settings specific to your TV. It takes out the responsibility of tweaking the settings yourself, which most people probably won’t ever do anyways.
