DBU hosts student research convention ‘Anveshan’ – Times of India

CHANDIGARH: Desh Bhagat University held the North Zone Student Research ConventionAnveshan 2022-2023′ with assistance from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Over 100 students from 15 universities in the northern region attended the convention and 52 innovative projects were showcased by the students and their mentors.
Present on this occasion were Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor of the Desh Bhagat University, Pro-Chancellor Dr Tajinder Kaur, Prof Rupinder Tewari, Mentor DST Technology Enable Centre (TEC), Panjab University, Chandigarh as Chief Guest, Dr Usha Rai Negi, Assistant Director, Research and Nodal Officer Coordinator Anveshan-SRC AIU and Harsh, former Indian Forest Services officer as Guest of Honour, Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice-President Desh Bhagat University and Coordinator for the North Zone Students’ Research Convention Anveshan, Dr Virinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the Desh Bhagat University and Dr LS Bedi, Dean (Academics) of the Desh Bhagat University.
There were 5 themes: Anveshan Agriculture, Engineering, Social Science, Health Science, and Basic Science, based on which the teams displayed posters in the first round of the convention, followed by the second round of evaluation through a PowerPoint presentation.
The participants were evaluated based on scientific thoughts and principles, creativity, thoroughness, skill, relevance, and teamwork. A team of 15 distinguished evaluators from various disciplines scrutinized the entries.
