DB allows JKSSB to proceed with selection process for JEs and JKPSI posts – Times of India
Hearing an urgent appeal filed by the J&K SSB, the Division Bench comprising Justice Sindhu Sharma and Justice Vinod Chatterji Kaul in its order allowed the recruitment agency to further proceed with the selection process.
“However, the Division Bench restrained the government body (nodal recruiting agency) from declaring the results till further orders.
Earlier the Division Bench said the caveat stands discharged. Meanwhile Post-admission notice has been accepted by Advocate Abhishek Gupta appearing for the caveators.

The Division Bench further said that counter within a period of four weeks. Rejoinder, if any, within one week thereafter.
“Impugned judgment stands stayed,” said the Division Bench here today.
It further said, “Meanwhile, the appellant shall proceed with the selection process of Junior Engineer (Jai Shakti Department) and Sub-Inspector (Home Department), however the result of the same shall await further orders from this court.
Court said that call for the Writ court record while the case has been listed on February 2, 2023.
Advocate General D C Raina, appearing for the appellant -JKSSB, while Senior Advocate Abhinav Sharma, Ms Supriya Gandotra ( for respondents) and Advocate Abhishek Gupta for caveators viz. Vinkal Sharma & others.
During the hearing Advocate General D C Raina contended that the writ petition has been decided by the single bench in contravention to Rule 14 and 15 of the writ proceeding rules.
On Thursday, Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal in his judgement aimed at checking biasness, favouritism and unfairness in the functioning of the premier recruiting agency of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, has quashed the contract awarded to a previously blacklisted company by the JKSSB for conduct of examinations for the posts of Junior Engineer (Civil) Jal Shakti Department and Sub-Inspector Home Department.
Justice Nargal further has set-aside and cancelled all the examinations being conducted in furtherance of award of contract at whatever stage they are as on date and directed the Government to constitute a high-level committee headed by not less than a retired High Court Judge to enquire into the conduct of J&K Services Selection Board for their brazen irregularities/illegalities in facilitating award of contract for conduct of examinations.
