Jadon Sancho’s returning form at Manchester United has been praised by David Seaman.
The Englishman found the back of the net again for the Red Devils on Saturday with a tap-in at the back post.
His strike was the first he has scored in the Premier League at Old Trafford and followed up from another goal he scored against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup just over a week ago.
Sancho’s performance was the only possible bright spark at a rainy Theatre of Dreams as Che Adams’ equaliser at the beginning of the second half ensured the points were shared.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, the former Arsenal ‘keeper believes that the 21-year-old could be key to United hitting form again.
“Manchester United will definitely be a better side with an in-form Sancho,” Seaman said.
“I have been waiting on him putting in performances like this.
“He takes his goal well, it’s a little bit of a scuffed finish, it gets a little deflection but it ends up in the goal and that is exactly what he needed.
“It is great to see him getting his confidence back as when I have seen him that is exactly what it looks like.
“He is a player that has so much talent but his confidence just was not as high as it was before.”
Manchester United and Jadon Sancho return to action on Tuesday night when they face Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League.
