Try to stay calm – Dave Grohl has been spotted at Glastonbury!

Foo Fighters have been at the centre of secret performer rumours for weeks, with Glasto fans convinced the rockers would be showing up as The Churnups, a mysterious unknown band added to the line-up.

And we finally have confirmation, not just from organisers but also from the man himself – because he’s backstage!

The band’s founder and lead singer, 54, was photographed getting set up and enjoying the calm before the Glasto storm later today.

Sporting casual attire and with a cuppa in hand (so casual), Dave chatted to a crew member as he took in all the action.

The sighting comes after reports that their performance on The Pyramid Stage on Friday night has been set in stone.

According to The Daily Mail, the Best of You musicians will be performing at 6.10pm.

It doesn’t exactly come as a surprise, though, given that the band themselves shared a very cryptic clue online that fans were convinced was a supposed confirmation weeks ago.

The note said: ‘Hey. It’s been a while… Now that we’ve returned from our first run of shows, I felt compelled to reach out and thank you all for being there for us.

‘Every night, when I see you singing, it makes me sing harder. When I see you screaming, it makes me scream louder.

‘When I see your tears, it brings me to tears. And when I see your joy, it brings me joy.

‘But, I see you… and it feels good to see you, churning up these emotions together. Because we’ve always done this together. Time and time again. See you soon, David.’

As well as Foo Fighters performing on the iconic stage, it’s been said that artist David Hockney has created the graphics for their set.

‘The fact that David has got involved shows just how special this gig will be. It is amazing,’ a source told The Mail.

If the Foo Fighters do perform at Glastonbury 2023, their set will come over a year after the death of the band’s drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died in March last year aged 50.

Then, in May this year, they announced that Josh Freese would be taking over drums in the band.

The acclaimed musician has played for other bands in the past, including Guns N’ Roses, Nine Inch Nails, and Weezer.
