Danni Menzies reveals toll horror moped crash took on her mental health
Danni Menzies has spoken candidly about the toll her terrifying moped crash took on her mental health.
The presenter was left unconscious before being taken to hospital and previously shared images of her receiving treatment and on the ground shortly after the incident.
In a new interview, Danni has spoken about how she ‘could’ve died’ and also said the accident left her depressed.
‘I could’ve died. It was really scary. I had to get scans for bleeding on the brain, my face was really messed up. I was depressed for a few months.’
Danni added to the Sun: ‘My life went on hold for a bit. That was really tough. It took a while.’
As for how she healed mentally, Danni added: ‘I did a bit of therapy. I’ve been doing energy healing, doing sound baths, doing all that stuff.’
Thankfully, the star is now ‘raring to go’ and keen to ‘push herself’ this year.
Shortly after the incident occurred, Danni – who recently announced her departure from A Place In The Sun – shared pictures of the scene, revealing her hair and face were covered with blood.
She was also seen holding a bloody tissue in her hand, and in another image, lay on a hospital stretcher.
She wrote at the time: ‘So, on Saturday I was taken out (on the pavement!) by a stolen moped that lost control.
‘Didn’t see it coming and it’s not looking pretty right now to be honest.
‘I’m sure I will be fine in a few weeks but in the meantime, I might be a wee bit quiet on here.’
