Dahaad trailer: Sonakshi Sinha and Vijay Verma starrer is a captivating game of cat and mouse

A trailer for the upcoming crime-drama series Dahaad has been released. The series marks the web series debut for Sonakshi Sinha who portrays the role of a fearless police officer. Created by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, who has also directed the series along with Ruchika Oberoi. The series also features Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah and Sohum Shah in pivotal roles.

The two-and-a-half-minute intriguing trailer features Sonakshi Sinha as a cop in search of missing women in Haryana. Gulshan Devaiah is shown helping her on the case. The trailer also gives us a zoom into the case which starts to build up into a murder case of 27 missing women.

The trailer also showcases Vijay Verma as a merciless murderer who convinces women to kill themselves.

The plot description of the 8-episode show read: When a series of women are found dead in public bathrooms under mysterious circumstances, Sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati is tasked with leading the investigation. As the case unravels she begins to suspect that the seemingly clear-cut suicides may be the work of a serial killer on the loose, triggering a riveting game of cat and mouse between a seasoned criminal and an underdog cop.

The series is produced by Excel Media & Entertainment and Tiger Baby and will premiere on the OTT platform on May 12.
