Cyient to acquire Singapore-based Grit Consulting for $37 million

Pune: Global technology solutions firm Cyient said that it would be acquiring Singapore-based Grit Consulting which has consulting expertise in asset-intensive industries like metal mining and energy for $37 million.

The company said that the acquisition will help strengthen its footprint in these industries by leveraging customer, geographic, and talent synergies.

“We are expanding our Cyient Consulting practice with this investment. It aligns with our consulting-led growth strategy, and we see great synergies across talent, footprint, and customers. With Grit Consulting’s expertise in business transformation and our technology solutions capabilities, we can deliver strategic outcomes for our customers,” said Cyient’s managing director and chief executive officeer, Krishna Bodanapu.

Earlier this week, the company had announced the acquisition of US-headquartered plant and product engineering services company Citec for €94 million, its largest acquisition to date. The company said that this is also the largest outbound acquisition by an Indian engineering services company.

“We believe that this coming-together of Cyient’s technology solutions and our innovative socio-technical design consulting approaches will further strengthen our capabilities to enable sustainable performance improvements and cultural enhancement across the organization,” said Jeremy Brown, founding partner at Grit Consulting.
