CUET-UG registers 60% attendance; Delhi registers 80% – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The CUET-UG finally came to an end registering 60% attendance. Delhi recorded the highest attendance with nearly 80% while states from the North East region, especially the hill states registering around 35% attendance. However, the test for 103 candidates from Jharkhand will be conducted again shortly as the Centre Radha Govind University, Ramgarh, Jharkhand faced slow internet issues on Tuesday.
National Testing Agency is conducting Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)] – 2022 from July 15, 2022 onwards at 489 Examination Centres located in 259 cities across India and 10 cities outside India.
“12.04 lakh candidates registered for the first five phases which ended on August 23. Phase six of CUET (UG) – 2022 started on August 24, 2022 where in both slots for 72,729 candidates. The second and third day of CUET (UG) – 2022 phase six were conducted for 52,139 candidates and 66,466 candidates respectively in both slots. A total of 14.90 lakh candidates were scheduled for this examination.
“The fourth and last day of phase six in Tuesday was conducted successfully for 1,40,559 candidates in 444 Examination Centres throughout 239 Cities including 04 cities outside India (Muscat, Riyadh, Dubai, and Sharjah) in both slots. However, as per initial reports of today, due to slow internet speed, the examination at Centre Radha Govind University, Ramgarh, Jharkhand could not be conducted. However, detailed report is awaited. Examination for 103 affected candidates will be conducted shortly,” said M Jagadesh Kumar, chairperson, UGC.
In both slots, Uttar Pradesh had maximum numbers of candidates (52885) with 125 Examination Centres followed by West Bengal (10744) with 35 Examination Centres.
