Crushing Schuster blow as injury strikes again
Manly playmaker Josh Schuster has been ruled out of Saturday’s clash against Newcastle with a quad injury.
Schuster suffered the injury in the first half of last week’s golden point loss to South Sydney and will be replaced by Cooper Johns at five-eighth.

The Sea Eagles star had only just returned from a calf injury and will now sit out again with the club hopeful he will be fit to face Penrith at Bluebet Stadium next Saturday.
It’s understood Schuster’s return-to-play timeline has yet to be decided.
Johns, son of Newcastle great Matthew, will play his second game of the season after filling in for Schuster during the round-one defeat of Canterbury.
Schuster showed commitment in the offseason to make his transition from the second-row to five-eighth a success, losing nearly 15kgs.
The five-eighth set up three tries in the win over Parramatta, while he also had a solid outing in attack in the loss to South Sydney.
